LEYBURN PARISH CHURCH
(St Matthew’s) is home to a small but welcoming congregation who will be delighted to see you, whether as a local resident or a tourist or casual visitor. Our services are joyful and relaxed and there is usually tea and coffee afterwards. Young families are especially welcome. A Children’s Corner with suitable toys is always available. There is a PA system and hearing loop for the hard of hearing. Sunday services are at 10.45am each week and usually take the form of Common Worship (modern language) Holy Communion, although at times we have special Family Services, Songs of Praise or Morning Prayer (both Common Worship and Book of Common Prayer). Our Prayer Chapel gives opportunity to light a candle as a form of prayer or to leave a prayer request on the board.

On Sunday 22nd February 2009 The Guides, Brownies and Rainbows came to Leyburn Church for their Thinking Day.

The concert by “Singing Strings” in May 2009 raised £200 for church funds
